What a great start to the term!

What a great first week back. In spite of the chicken pox outbreak, our children have worked really hard.

This week, our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils took part in the Unlimited programme, delivered by Arc Theatre on Thursday. The programme used interactive theatre and workshop activities to engage Pupils in important discussions about diversity, respect, prejudice, empathy, and inclusion. Through a live performance and carefully structured activities, students explored  how discrimination, bullying, peer pressure, misinformation, and extremism can affect individuals and communities.

The workshops encouraged pupils to think critically about the choices they make, the information they encounter, and the importance of standing up against discrimination in all its forms. Students were highly engaged throughout the sessions and demonstrated maturity and thoughtfulness when discussing challenging topics. The programme also reinforced key British Values, promoting mutual respect, tolerance, and an appreciation of the diverse communities in which we live.

We would like to thank Arc Theatre for delivering such a powerful and meaningful experience. The workshops provided our pupils with valuable opportunities to reflect on their own values, develop empathy for others, and strengthen their understanding of how they can contribute positively to their school and wider community.

We would like to share that, thanks to your generosity, Chalkhill raised £540.49 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped support this wonderful cause. Your kindness and support are greatly appreciated.

A gentle reminder to please ensure that your child arrives at school on time each day. We would also appreciate your support in using the main school gates for entry and exit.
Children should only enter through the school office entrance if they arrive after registration has closed or if a parent/carer needs to speak with a member of staff in the office.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Wish you all a lovely weekend.

Kind regards
Mr Cloete
