Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had a very busy week once again! Chalkhill had a lot to celebrate. Both year 4 classes had an afternoon live online session with one of the authors they have been reading, Stephen Davies. He was enthusiastically sharing and taking writing ideas from our children. Please ask your child about it. Selected children from Year 4 were given a special treat to go to the cinema after their excellent performance in the ‘Rockstar Times Table challenge.
Then today 2A treated the audience to a breathtakingly amazing class assembly. They took us on a fantastic journey of world renowned scientists and their specific inventions or contributions to the world. They managed to this with outstanding delivery of their lines and wonderful acting.
A massive thank you to Mrs Ali, Mrs Ahmed, Mrs Corbette, Mr Essel and everyone who helped prepare this assembly. As usual our beautiful families came out to support our school in high numbers. Thank you so much.
On Thursday 20th March we will have a “Palm oil Free” Cake Sale where all the proceedings will used to contribute to World Earth Day activities. Chalkhill Primary school will be celebrating Red Nose Day on Friday 21st of March 2025. This is part of Comic Relief: a British charity that aims to raise money and awareness for good causes all around the world.
In support of the charity, a Red Nose Day event will be held in our school. Children can come to school wearing RED clothes on that day and a donation of £1 would
be appreciated.Class
5MS will be performing their assembly on Friday 21st March 2025. Parents/Carers of children from 5MS will are invited.
Kind regards
Mr Cloete
