Tutankhamun Immersive Exhibition

Posted on June 14, 2025

As part of the learning of Arabic, the pupils have learnt about describing themselves and others, food items and family members.

To practice the vocabulary learnt we took the pupils on a trip to the London ExCel to attend the Tutankhamun Immersive Exhibition. Pupils used adjectives to describe Tutankhamun and his mask. They talked about Tutankhamun’s family using the vocabulary learnt this year. And looking at his family tree. And finally they used vocabulary to describe food items when looking at the tradition of leaving food in tombs. They also used food vocabulary during lunch at Jimmy’s Grill in the O2.

On the Tutankhamun experience I saw different areas of the tombs that were really amazing to see and I feel very lucky tat I was given the opportunity to go. We found out so many different things about Tutankhamun and awesome facts about him. The VR were really fun too!

We got to the Tutankhamun experience and it felt as if we were in Egypt visiting the tombs. It was the best experience of my life. After that we went to have lunch at Jimmy’s grill. I loved it! The food was amazing. I rate this trip 10/10. I am thankful to have been given this opportunity.

Dance from Equador!

It’s Equadorian Week this week at Chalkhill Primary School, and to start the week off with style, we all enjoyed a fabulous traditional Equadorian dance performed by our amazing guests.

After the performance, our dance duo instructed the children on how to perform the dance themselves. It’s going to be a fun packed week so look out for more to come.
